Acquiring routes, domestic where it counts.
Flowa Pay connects you to domestic and cross-border acquiring through licensed acquiring partners. We provide the technology, connectivity and routing; the acquiring itself is performed by the licensed partner on the route.
Where a transaction is acquired changes whether it is approved
An issuer in a given market usually treats a domestic acquiring route more favourably than a cross-border one, and the cost base is different too. Multi-acquirer connectivity lets you use a domestic route where you have the volume to justify one and a cross-border route where you do not, and move between them as a market grows.
From request to reconciled
Scope the corridors
We map where your customers actually are and where your volume concentrates, which determines which routes are worth having.
Underwrite
Each acquiring route underwrites your business. Approval depends on merchant category, jurisdiction, history and the partner's own risk appetite.
Connect
Routes are connected to your account and exposed to the routing engine as selectable paths with their own MIDs.
Route
Rules choose domestic or cross-border per transaction, based on issuing country, currency, product and observed approval.
Expand
New markets are added as routes, not as integrations, so growth does not mean a new checkout project.
What global acquiring covers
Domestic acquiring
Local routes in supported markets, which typically improve issuer approval and reduce cross-border cost. Delivered through licensed acquiring partners.
Cross-border acquiring
International acceptance where a domestic route is unavailable or not yet commercially justified.
Multi-acquirer connectivity
Several acquiring routes live at once, including the ones you already hold directly.
Regional acquiring routes
Routes selected for a region's issuing behaviour and cost base rather than one global default.
Multiple MIDs
Several merchant IDs across brands, entities, descriptors or volume allocations, selectable by routing rule.
Local currency processing
Process in the customer's currency on routes that support it, rather than converting before authorization.
International card acceptance
Accept cards issued outside your home market, with routing that accounts for the issuing country.
Acquirer redundancy
If one route degrades or fails underwriting review, traffic continues on another rather than stopping.
Market expansion
Add a market as a route and a configuration change, not a rebuild.
Why teams choose it
- Better local approval. Domestic routes are generally treated more favourably by local issuers.
- Resilience. Multiple routes mean no single acquiring relationship can take you offline.
- Commercial leverage. Comparable routes, measured on the same traffic, make performance and pricing discussions evidence-based.
How you connect
- Routes are connected to your account and selected by routing rules.
- No checkout change is required to add or remove a route.
- Each route reports its own approval, latency, cost and settlement behaviour.
What you can accept
- Visa and Mastercard credit and debit on connected routes
- Additional schemes and methods where the route supports them
Availability depends on merchant category, jurisdiction, underwriting and the applicable payment or acquiring partner.
How it is controlled
- Acquiring is performed by licensed partners under their own authorisations.
- Flowa Pay holds route credentials server-side, scoped per route and environment.
- Route-level activity is recorded for audit and reconciliation.
Flowa Pay provides the payment technology and orchestration layer. Acquiring, scheme settlement and regulated payment services are provided by licensed acquiring and payment partners under their own authorisations.
Common questions
No. Flowa Pay is not the acquirer and does not hold an acquiring licence. We provide the technology, connectivity and orchestration; acquiring is performed by licensed acquiring partners on each route.
Coverage is confirmed per merchant, because it depends on merchant category, jurisdiction, underwriting and the applicable acquiring partner. We scope it against your actual corridors instead of publishing a blanket list.
